Having just re-activated my Patreon, I didn't intend to keep doing monthly themes like before, but I felt like bringing back "Djinnuary", a theme I last did in 2021 when I first began there. This time around I wanted to show some love to the cast of Indigo Children, my long-planned but yet-to-be-actually-made magical Cold War saga. Next up is Kasumi Karasuno, the hard-drinking delinquent ninja. Her vessel is a bottle, but not one typically associated with genies... a bottle of "Chirin"-brand beer.
A quick refresher about this character: Born in Nara, Japan, Kasumi Karasuno was trained in ninjutsu, the espionage, stealth, and survival techniques of the ninja, by her father Kenshin. In addition to that and her martial-arts training, her Psychic abilities made her a fighter to be reckoned with. However, after coming of age, she learned a dark secret about Kenshin -- he was a former member of the Shadow Dragon Society, a secret force of the Imperial Japanese Army behind missions of subterfuge leading up to and during the Second World War. Kasumi's sense of justice led her to cut ties with her father and strike out on her own as the vigilante defender of the Kansai Region.
