This drawing is one I really wanted to draw just because, to really put in the effort for a mid-transformation image. And pants explosion cause of tail. I'll admit part of my thought for this drawing is something I keep having to fight whenever I'm picking these pages, which is the notion of feeling like I'm not allowed to draw certain things. And mostly it's in regards to transformations and pokemon. That I have three different pokemon comics that deal with transformation and a pix-line as main character. That because of which there is this nagging thought in the back of my mind that I shouldn't be drawing either vulpixes or ninetales. And it's similar with transformations. Like I don't want to be known as just a tf artist or a pokemon artist (though again, 3 comics about both of those things) so when I'm picking a drawing if I have a transformation idea I feel like I have to go through and make sure I haven't done any in a while. All that psychosis nonesense. And this drawing was a sort of F-that, I'm gonna do what I want.

The reason this one didn't end up colored has a bit to do with the previous drawing. That one was in an almost completed state when the end of the week ran out and instead of starting a new one the following Sunday like I'm supposed to be doing, I spent a few hours finishing it up and didn't even start. And then because Usael was behind I didn't work on it Monday either. And then Tues/Wed ran heavy workloads for Werepix/Guardian meaning by the time Saturday came around I had only just finished the lineart for this one. And couldn't get myself to draw at all Saturday and didn't feel like devoting a ton of time on it Sunday. So I just called it where it was. I may eventually come back to it and give it a proper coloring at some point. But I also need to get Pokehouse started back up again.

As for one of the reasons why this one got so little done with its time frame is because I effectively ended up adding in a step. Normally I do a rough sketch, then double the size of the image and do an ink step. But when I was going through and adding in line weights I ended up going through each of the limbs and relining them again with a lot more stringent attention to detail. As a result, even though it likely doesn't look it, this drawing is the state it's gotten to after 4 hours of work. For the most part I like how it turned out. Only real complaints I have are a few nitpicks regarding things looking too long or short and not feeling like I got the emotion in the eyes right.
