A resident of the planet, Uleelashi, Ripley had dreams of adventuring to the surface world since she was little, an adventurous trait she inherited from her father, who was also a knight and told the little shark tales of his discoveries and voyages. This inspired her to become a knight so that she could see all the amazing places of the land above. Through hard work and dedication within the underwater domed cities of Mer'Deltarri (meaning ‘Opal’s Ecstasy’ in their language), she rose up in ranks and given the honor of knighthood. This allowed her to venture up to the lands and begin her travels around the planet. For profit, Ripley hires out her services as a mercenary, taking up jobs in different villages that paid well for her services. One day, while going after a bounty, Ripley happened to run into Tri Wulvbaen, who was after the same bounty. Ripley refused to stand down, at first, both equally matched in terms of swordsmanship. But when the wolf saved her life instead of leaving to catch up with the bounty, she almost changed her mind about the wolf. That is until they spent time together at a tavern and got to know each other better, developing a mutual respect for Tri, which eventually turned into a strong friendship between the two. But after turning in a few bounties, Ripley decided to join Tri’s crew, travelling off-world with him towards adventure and assisting in his line of work as a mercenary, as well as getting her cut of the profit. Sometimes having sparring matches with the wolf in friendly competitions or to refine both of their skills in various weaponry. Even though Ripley likes to get paid, she still holds a sense of honor, like Tri does, and would not hesitate to turn down the client’s offer, if it meant harming innocent lives.
Fun Facts: Her species is capable of breathing both in and out of water due to special sets of lungs and gills that close when they enter their domed cities or surface out to land. Enabling them to venture out on land longer than most aquatic species. Like most humans, however, Ripley’s kind is subject to dry skin and would require either renewed exposure to water or applying skin moisturizer on parts of their bodies.
