Mars' atmosphere is also much thinner than ours, it has no standing water, no source of methane, no active volcanoes, no vegitation, and is about half the mass of Earth. Venus is much closer to our mass and covered with carbon dioxide and it's hot enough there to melt lead. Maybe we should be looking at Venus for a vision of our future rather than Mars. Which means we're all fucked.
