This is my wolfdog character. They are a high content wolfdog, which means they look nearly identical to a wolf, but have some dog-like quirks. This was one of my first times designing a 'realistic' character, and I think I found a good way to stylize natural coats. In reality their markings are well blended, which left me thinking pretty hard about how to represent that without using too many colors.
I enjoyed doing research on the physical differences between wolves and dogs to draw this. My favorite thing about wolves is probably the mane.

There's also an alternative paler version of this character because of my soft spot for white wolves, you'll might see it eventually.
