I used a few layers. A dark grey layer for the bottom, then a layer of shading on that, then a layer of hairs drawn with quick strokes one at a time, then a colour layer, and then another layer for some more highlights. It makes things a lot easier if you make mistakes. :3 Took me about 30 to 45 minutes I think, I didn't check the time.
