Here’s the Recluseverse’s equivalent to Superman/Power Girl: Tammie Thompson is the one and only Sunbeam! She was abducted by aliens after the Klyntar invasion in the hopes of figuring out how to defeat the dreaded parasites. She was exposed to the radiation of 12 Suns, saw a vision of a whale-like being and got these awesome powers… buuuuut the scientists had to eject her back to Earth because the Klyntar came knocking and killed them all! She was basically gently deposited in her parents’ corn field in Kansas and then the pod vanished. She thought people would label her as insane if she claimed she was captured by aliens so she removed the “Aliens” part. She became Supernova and saves her city (not New York, somewhere that’s less shit) in a very Golden Age Superman kinda vibe: she’s nice and sweet and that’s what makes her super! She knows of Recluse and while she doesn’t disapprove of her methods she’s a strictly “no killing” hero. She can fly, go extremely fast, she's super strong, she can use the powers of the sun (blasts of sun beams from her hands or eyes and creating spots of absence of sun which freezes things) and, more importantly, she mastered the disguise of having a secret identity behind regular glasses!
