Temptation's Ballad - Chapter 2: Cole and Sidd Library Scene
This scene holds a special place in my heart. Back in elementary school, I was an immigrant and couldn't read a speck of English and really struggled in my classes. I could speak it fairly well though, and I was one of those kids who couldn't shut up. As a result, my first grade teacher was convinced I actually knew English and got all pissy at me every time I was struggling and thought I was just stirring up trouble again.
I had a good friend who took time to stay with me during recess and go over our spelling test lists with me, read books out loud with me, and just showed me a lot of patience out of the kindness of her heart. Those moments really stuck with me even in as a grown-ass adult, so some of you might have noticed that "bonding over learning to read together" is a bit of a reoccurring trope in my VNs. Just a little moment a self-indulgence for my younger self.

Certainly one of your most heart-warming scenes for sure. Loved that nice interaction between those two. :3
Still though, if you could speak well, but you had difficulties reading, that should have given the teacher a hint that you might have dyslexia, or another kind of learning difficulty, specially if it is a consistent thing that happened regularly at class. Rather than noticing you needed some extra assistance, why did the teacher just assume you were doing it on purpose?
