How would one even acquire such antiquated armor?

Well, I suppose that should be obvious...

Doing research, I found that bazubands were also used in the 1300s by Germans...both art and effigies had shown something very like. I got these to go with a transitional cuirass and arming coat from a gentle named Torvaldr in the SCA. So far have worked very well for SCA Tournament and ARMA combats.
