This took 20 hours! oh, I made this in Oil Pastels, and they work a little differently than oil painting. It's applied with crayon shaped sticks that are kinda thick, which makes fine detail very very difficult, and the oil in it prevents it from drying in much the same way a candlewax may be malleable indefinitely. So it I applied a varnish to give it some protection.
Since I want fine detail, I'll probably switch to oil paints (it's oil with pigment that can be applied with brushes and dries enough for another layer in 2 weeks, and maybe takes months to fully dry)
