for me its all about layers, nice warm fuzzy fleece lined tights as an underlayer have been my go to this season.

We were lucky enough to see Maui last April, and it was very enjoyable. We were lucky enough to see it before the firestorm that leveled a few of the places we visited. It was a beautiful place and very a very enjoyable climate.

I am one of the luckiest guys on the planet. When I was in the Navy we stopped in Hawaii twice. I had a friend... a gentle giant of a man named Liu. He was pure Samoan and he was so kind enough to take me to his Aiga (family). Man... talk about MASSIVE! I mean I met sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and 2nd's and 3rd's and Tina and Tama (mom and dad) and the elders and his girlfriend and most of her family. We could've filled a church or two! And eat??? OMG! Even the biggest Thanksgiving dinners I ever had with grandma and all the family were nothing close to this. It was, by far, the best time of my life and I'll never forget it. I got to see, and experience, a side of Hawaii that few ever do and with a people few get to know and enjoy as I did. So much so I did it twice (we stopped in Hawaii twice on the westpac). So many stories... so much to remember... so much I lived/loved. I miss that big ol' lug. He was a wicked spades player and a great chess player and a great friend.
