I received some requests for more furry spiders. Until I find some more, here's another angle on one of my more recent encounters.
The original angle is at: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/532182/
I took a ton of photos of her, but only a couple came out good. The one I posted previously was the best. This one...is kind of ok. The depth of field I have to deal with is very constraining at times, and all of these shots were taken without the benefit of a tripod.
Still, you can still get a good idea of just how furry this little spider is. Deceptively so.
It also looks like she has eyes on the back of her head. Always watching...never blinking...
Did I eve mention I have an irrational fear of spiders. :P
Hopefully, more furry spiders to come. If I get good weather this weekend, maybe a journey into the local woods is in order.

I have an irrational fear of spiders too! Or at least I used to. I've kind of trained myself to get over it to an extent, by allowing myself to realize just what amazing (and in their own way, beautiful) little creatures they are.
I've actually gotten to the point where, if I find one in my house, I can scoop it up in my hands and take it outside ('cause I don't like to kill anything if I don't have to). Just a few years ago, I couldn't even *imagine* being able to do that.
Fascinating pic, btw. ^_^

I've come a long way myself. Photographing them so closely has helped a bit.
This one wasn't too hard to deal with, since it was so small. But, some of the larger spiders we get around here can be a bit intimidating.
It's weird having both a fear and fascination of these things. Luckily the fascination is starting to win out.
