On a critical note, I think that the coloured outlines are blending too much with the non-outlines. They sort of art starting to take away from the image as a whole. :( I think it works for MLP because they are not shaded and therefor there is not much for the eye to look at, whereas in this, in some areas it is starting to look blurry or cluttered because there is too much going on and the outlines are too close to some of the shades.

my feelings exactly! once I finished coloring the outlines I kept looking at it like.......heh..t...something looks weird about this! So I uploaded 2 versions of the pic (one with black outlines ofcourse) to the contest, and they chose the colored one..so... *shruggggggggggg*
I'll have to try some more raw painting style pics soon, cause colored outlines are rarely worth the headache atm xD
