eeeh? late again? yeah, january is usually the worst month to get things done, because of the extreme weather. hello -30C from earlier this month that drained a good chunk of my time and energy

It's great that your artwork is in high demand and you're doing what you want. There's no great way to make everyone happy and it's not physically possible to give a slot to everyone.
It's difficult, I think it's exceedingly frustrating that it is almost impossible to get a slot and some slots go to the same people over and over, some taken within 5 minutes. As far as I know these are random times they get posted on random days. Are these getting announced somewhere when they are going up because it's starting to not feel random. Just genuinely curious.

There are no announcements anywhere beforehand and i put them out the moment i've done templates, writing descriptions and freed the time for them. Theyre as random for strangers as for people who i've worked with beforehand. I assume it's a mix of timezones, luck and word of mouth being passed.
I've thought a lot about the logistics of letting new people getting a chance, but so far first come first claim has been the most 'fair but brutal' way while leaving myself out of the responsibility on who's getting the slot. Only improvement that I can see as being productive in practice is increasing the amount of YCH slots per post, I'm trying to improve the circumstance to make it a viable tactic

I think you are doing a fantastic job, and agree with Pogonip's first two sentences. Your random timing allows random folks, some of them not well known, to get slots, which I will always support. Many of the other incredible well known artists cater to the well known and presumably well off folks in this community, mostly through their patreons. We see the same faces and wish we'd been able to get a slot with this or that incredible artist. You sir, are one of the great and wonderful anomalies imho. I had the opportunity to snag one of these slots thanks to a friend alerting me, but decided to see if someone else was interested, and I am very glad I did
Thank you and thank you for seeing the unpredictable random element of previously unannounced posts. With more and more attention coming over the human limit becomes a lot more apparent. Best I can do is stick to principles and guidelines that are pretty straightforward and easy to understand while not being invasive. I feel like it respects people's chances best even if it gets more and more strained with time. I understand all the frustrations as I share them too, but from a creator's perspective, being unable to provide everyone with a chance.
