I KNEW IT I knew it was the Cappuccino when I saw the image preview I didn't even have to look at the title. I really want to sit someday in this coffee maker and see what it can do. Oh hi miss dragoness... *bows* *stays bowed* *there's a bowing over joke in here* X}
*grins* It's an awesome little car. It's so light and you sit so low to the ground, that it lets you feel like you're the Stig and driving at OMFG mph but then you look at the speedometer and realize you're still being perfectly legal anyway, just having a blast doing it. ;)
Looking at it now I can see what you mean, maybe so. Some of it just comes down to the one leg being stretched out and the other folded up, one paw splayed out and the other curled up. Makes it hard to tell when drawing! I used reference for the car but not the dragoness so that too could've led to small errors in the proportions and such. Getting things like that right continues to feel like one of the biggest artistic hurdles I'm still working on. ^^;
I found using a reference in that specific pose, even if you have a friend help you get a picture of yourself in the pose, really helps. But I hear yeah... so much of what I sketch never gets seen on here 'cause it's just too off. It's very tricky. But hey - you got toes down - that's the most important part! :D
Yeah, I really should get better at doing that, even if as you say I'm just using a self-timed photo of myself or something for reference. I lack girly proportions obviously but it would probably still help get the basic geometry down.
but yes, at least all my practice with dragon toes seems to be paying off!
