Yeah, this is a dumb side-cannon idea of furry marines, where genetic enginnering and adaptation of abhumans allows for more marines to be created and then varying in species and such. So not xenos, abhumans and genetic mutants are more common in this cannon. because of the fact legions vary in race, logically in my head genetic coding is a bit easier, still fatal probably now a 50/50 chance. But hey now any gender can be a marine.

And to indulge my belly brain, some marine chapters (fleetborn, death world, hard living situations are a key factor) are given an extra organ, that being a modification womb. If already female, the uterus is just adjusted by a biologos, but it has been mentioned that other gender marines have received the implant due to low homeworld populations or to quickly replenish their numbers.

With that being said, these special Marines are usually treated differently and given some reverence and protection, giving them low danger missions, scouting, espionage, things that wouldn't put their life in immediate danger until they are too encumbered where they are spend the end of the term on base or void ship. Not that it is a problem as broodmarines are just as dangerous as a normal marine, only when the distance is closed is where it gets shaky, usually the bodyguards and battle brothers step in to defend the broodmarine.

Treated a bit better than usual, they still experience hate and shunning, just no immediate purge mm
