Working towards actually finishing a bunch of buried projects (You never realize just how piled up things're getting until You dig to the bottom, and start working up)
This one is a build in progress for Unreal Tournament 2004, I'd been planning on making Alt Avatars for some of the folks I liked Gaming with during Lan-parties and what not. Mainly for the spiffy factor of people being able to play as their Fursonas in game.
brodycatsmouth, being awesome, and having helped me out a couple times, has been at the top of the list for these, with
isfacat close behind.
Right now, It's waiting on commentary from Brody to see what needs to be tidied, replaced, or otherwise tweaked, but as it stands, it's a "sealed" model. That means there should be no more holes anywhere on it, excluding the joints where they're supposed to be hollow.
I'm not entirely sold on the hair, but it was done with a ragged approach to make it look close to his normal fursona, but a bit more "battle worn" to fit in with the UT2004 Universe.
We'll see where this one goes.

I think this is turning out well! I hope you'll upload more progress shots - I'd like to see the colored version of this. UT is actually one of the few shooters I really enjoy and I haven't seen many custom avatars for that game.

Yep, I was getting around to fixing that mixup the same time that the internet decided to pull the plug and stay off. Will be fixing it now.
As for UT, it's one of those great shooters that keeps things simple enough to be enjoyable. The graphics are still okay here in 2011 (at least, to those of us who don't insist on running Crysis 2 maxed out) and the gameplay is "soft" enough that you can pick it back up after months of not playing, and still have a blast without having to relearn a bunch of controls first.
It also happens to be a mainstay of RCFM and MFM Lan parties. So custom avatars can be a bonus. If I get decent at these, I might start offering custom avatars as one of the Prizes for RCFM Lan events. Time will tell!

The goggles that're in the image had been an attempt Glasses (they're detached from the face, but connected to the hair, so that the eyes could be displayed behind them.
If you want though, I can adjust them to be a bit more spectacle like in appearance. Bear in mind that the polygons are solid, but the texture on them was going to be predominantly see-through.
