'Shi- RUUN!"
Austin screamed at Slade who was on the hilltop, an Elite swordsman right behind him. Austin lifted his gun and fired, catching the alien in the gut and shredding him to purple, bloody ribbons. Slade looked back to see the Elite collapse at his feet, dead.
"Slade, we gotta go! This planet is fucked!"
Slade nodded and started his way down the hill when a trio of Banshees flew overhead, bombarding the hillside with explosive green plasma, hiding Slade from view.
"NOOOO!!!"
Austin ran up to the green haze to see Slade getting up, his helmet cracked.
"Fuck this shit..."
Slade threw his helmet on the ground and climbed back up the hill, blood dripping down his face. Austin climbed up after him.
"Slade we gotta g-"
"No."
Slade gestured with his hand to the sea of Covenant surrounding them. The two looked at each other and sighed, reloading their guns and prepping for the battle... Their last battle.
"Hell Austin, it's been fun! As long as everyone else is out, right?"
Austin nodded and stood up as Slade crouched. They both screamed and opened fire.
