Some may say that what makes someone heroic is their strength or speed or mental capacity or willingness to dive in front of a bullet.

To me, what makes someone heroic and strong inside is their capacity to keep getting back up...otherwise known as fortitude.

After what happened, I feel no shame in saying that I am shaken, nervous, and flat out tired...

But it is getting easier and easier to get out of bed.

Always does get better.

During one of the roughest parts of my life (I'll spare you the details), I truly felt like I had nowhere else to go. Everyone was conspiring against me (in my mind, at least), and after a particularly bad day, I really just didn't know what to do. So I called up a friend and talked to him...then I ate a pop-tart and went to bed.

Could've done something worse, but instead, just ate a pop-tart and went to bed.

I understand what you may be feeling and really, I'll just say it again.

Persevere. It'll get easier with each day.

You might want to try drawing a bit more Ludu to work the anxieties out. It sometimes helps just to do something.

You're not alone in that idea. My therapist (who it turns out is a fan of my DA work... who knew...) says i should literally draw the scenarios that panic me. The more outlandish the better.
