“Commissions Open” [Animated Music Video]

This was what I’ve been working on in the past few months. I’m very fond of the idea of turning alot of my satirical ideas (ones that have already been made in comics, and others I haven’t) and turning them into animated music videos.
Consider this to be kinda like a ‘pilot episode’. If it’s received well and has enough support behind it, then I’ll dedicate more time into doing more of em. This particular video (including both the music and animation) took me about 3 months to do, so there’s a fair amount of time investment involved.
I’m refurbishing my public discord server for the purpose of using it to grow a community surrounding this new project. So if you’re interested in more updates in regards the future of this project or getting more involved in the social/moderation/development side of things, feel free to join the discord server (strictly 18+ only).

I've talked to one or two people over the years who'd rather go to a con out of country than pay their rent. Usually followed by the expected "I'm struggling so hard financially please donate to my PayPal" journal.
I'm sure many folks who ask for help this way actually need it but the fact shit like this happens in the first place is astonishing.

It is gratifying on a level most people don't otherwise experience, getting art made of their characters that is well-received. In my case, I do like the attention, but realize the big lizard (or fat derg, et al.) aren't me, just my tastes and interests in professional illustration. So someone liking a new pic isn't liking me so much as just the talent I hired. I've been able to objectify the practice and become more practical and pragmatic about art patronage.
If I were more addicted to the endorphin rush art can bring, my reduction in financial environment (household now at 40% of its previous budget levels) would be a disaster. The loss that brought it on is devastating, but the resulting reduction or even future absence of new works not felt so tragically. For me, it was a fun ride and I felt good supporting the arts. That part of it I will miss.
