‘I wonder who is faster, Ozzy or Minerva?’

“So that is what started all this,… Ozzy and me were visiting Lucia on her island, trying to get her outside for a bit,… she’s been spending far too much time sitting in her treehouse playing games, I think. When we finally managed to get her away from her newest ‘Vid-eo Game’ and outside, we suddenly heard Adrian call to us, and looked up to see her flying atop the back of a creature I had never seen before,…

It looked like lion, but had wings and a scorpion tail,… Adrian said it was called a ‘Man-Tee-Core’, and the creature then introduced herself as ‘Minerva’. We talked for awhile and she seems nice, apparently she is the guardian of a lost civilization that is no longer around, so now she lives on Adrian’s island. I really wanted to pet her,… she looks so soft and floofy,… but I didn’t know if she would like that or not, so I refrained from it. She also talked about how she also has a human form she can take, but that in places she didn’t know she felt more comfortable in her non-human form.

She seemed to quickly take an interest in Ozzy, and they seemed to get along well,… I’m pretty sure at acouple points they were talking to each other, but I couldn’t understand what they were saying. I told her about how Ozzy and me met and what a good friend he is, and how fast he can be when he lets me ride him.

At that point the question was raised as to who was faster, and before I knew it we had been challenged to a race,… I don’t really care too much about challenges like that, but it sounded like fun.”

‘I’ll stay here to judge the winner,… once around the edges of the island and then back here.’ “Offered Lucia happily”

“We all got ready and Lucia shouted ‘Go!’ and Minerva took off with Adrian,… I was expecting her to fly, but that’s okay, it didn’t take long for Ozzy and me to catch up, and Ozzy, Adrian and me were all having fun,… Minerva gave us a funny look though, I don’t think she expected Ozzy to be so fast, and was maybe a bit worried.”

‘Haha! Isn’t this great, Ozzy?’

From the Chibi stream of  shonuff44 Comes this cute a fun picture, featuring my Ember and Ozzy, racing with  rpx’s Adrian and Minerva.

Such a cute and fun picture, Ember and Ozzy are clearly having a great time, and ShoNuff even had Ozzy smiling, which is a very nice touch, and you can practically here Ember laughing as her long hair flows behind her, and her spiky bangs blow back as well. And in regards to Ozzy, you really get a sense here of how big he is, chibi-proportions aside, he is Huge. I’ve never seen a chibi manticore before, but I must say, Minerva is adorable, she looks so soft and floofy, and you have to love the flapping of her wings and that sideways glance she is giving Ozzy, almost worried, but definitely a bit competitive. Yet while Minerva looks competitive Adrian as well just seems to be enjoying the race, with a smile to Ember. This whole piece gives such a great sense of motion, and speed,… from the motion lines to the flowing of Ember’s hair, to the sand kicking up around Ozzy, and the flapping of Minerva’s wings. Another great and fun collab.

The colors really bring so much life to the picture, showing of the vibrance of Adrian’s blues, Ember’s reds and greens, and really shows the contrast between Minerva’s fur colors, as well as really making Ozzy’s eyes pop. The colors also really make clear what a nice, clear, bright sunny day it is out on the ocean surrounding the islands as these four happily race. :)
