Vectors illustrated with badgers, funnier less macabre incarnation of the vectors that represent a major pillar of spirituality in this lore

For reasons that have yet to be figured out by science, this particular species, specifically their fur and (allegedly) character, are affected by vectors in a way that's only otherwise seen in goblins and some varieties of mushrooms, although in this case much of it is nowadays dismissed as astrological hogwash. They subsequently are as follows :
Summer badgers. Their fur has a distinctly reddish tone, indicating that they were born under the influence of the Blood Moon. They're risk takers, more prone to aggressive tendencies and living in the moment.
The Autumn badgers have taken the coat of Mockaryatis; good earners, hoarders.
Rarest are the Winter badgers, whose fur has a blue tone and are thus associated with the stone image. Thus seem sort of slow and lethargic, averse to stress.
These color traits have a strong component of being hereditary, but three caveats are known : badgers are born white, their environment of growth can influence how their childhood turns out, and in some rare cases, fur can change colors throughout the lifetime. The older the subject, the rarer it becomes to even obtain a slight change in color tone. They say character mostly reinforces with age as certitudes have better chances of cementing than evolving, and so the fur of such individuals tends to be most vivid during both young and old age, while a mix of different colors is mainly observed in the middle years, a non-argument, as some observed, as this also coincides with the time between the first adult coat and its fading in the later years, which has nothing to do with vectors.
Therefore, as mentioned, it's seen nowadays as mostly hogwash. But it was widely accepted until the era of scientific positivism, which saw two opposite tendencies as biologists dismissed them entirely while sociology and other pseudo-sciences of the time such as physiognomony promoted it. It was buried. Better understanding of the physiological effects of certain cosmic events caused a resurgence in its belief.
