Those lasers are painful, though at least with organic matter it's just as case of stunning and singing though skipping like a stone across the water was probably also rather painful, so a good thing Tial being small and light perhaps helped lessen the impact.
For Tir I imagine the emotional pain of the fear, worry and guilt probably sting a lot more than the laser did though hopefully Tial will forgive what was an unfortunate accident.
