Inside joke drawn at work a while back ago with a few of my characters (that have yet to be posted) for Shitpost Sunday.
Left is a crappy depiction of Forn, an ancient skyield made out of stone that holds secrets from times long passed. Forn was eventually discovered by an archeologist named Robert.
Middle is Robert. As an archeologist who is passionate about his job, Robert has been responsible for digging up many mysterious things lost to time. Such items include a mysterious and rumored to be magical dragon's stone, as well as a certain ancient stone skyield that he took home with him. Robert has a rocky marriage with his wife due to his job, which has led to many arguments and Robert unfortunately burying himself more into his work.
Right is Martha, who doesn't like Robert disappearing for long periods of time and is against him getting involved in weird supernatural stuff through his findings. Martha comes off as the "mean disapproving wife" trope at first, but digging a bit deeper there's actually way more to her than that and why she responds the way she does.

"And so there was Legroy, crafting his newest masterpiece with his long, handsome legs. The stone yield opened his eyes and looked up at his daddy longlegged creator. "Thank you for creating me, father." it spoke out as its first words. "Offspring, I crave apples." Legroy told his new son, ushering him to his new duty."
