Work continues on the dark bird boy.
I really had to think a bit about how to build an outfit for this fella, given his large arm feathers. Don't want to be breaking the silhouette too much with outfit on/off, so I eventually landed on a kind of hooded poncho that lets the important colored feathers stay uncovered. Muted colors and plenty of black to keep contrast the vibrant plumage he's got going on. A clasp above the waist allows him to tie the back of the poncho to the front and tighten up the outfit, which is very loose/baggy otherwise.
Next up is figuring out his shadow form. Hood goes up, arm/tail feathers drop their color and get all smoky/shadowy and he can use his dark magic to teleport around, summon clones, and do all the fun things dark mages do.

Why not a sleeveless tunic in the Greco-Roman style?
Depending on how he uses his magic, in addition to stealing, the current tunic can get in the way.
I'd be more inclined to wear a tunic from ancient times, whatever the style - Roman, Greek, Egyptian.
In other words, a leotard and a loincloth.
He'll have great freedom of movement, he'll be dressed, and we'll be able to see his beautiful plumage.
On the other hand... I thought of him more as a dandy, so my idea doesn't really fit...
In general, I make clothes, outfits, according to character. Hueli doesn't wear the same clothes as Éli, for example.

It's a weird balance with this character, I want him heavily clothed/hooded to fit his theme but also able to showcase his feathers. Too little clothing doesn't lend itself well to a mysterious, seclusive character, but too much and the mechanics of how he works become complicated...
I would like to see a visual of your ideas though, if you have a reference of what you're thinking you can toss it at me on Discord.
