To be fair, if you're not used to how this boss behaves or the game's physics, the Checker Wrecker Ball can actually be kinda tough. Definitely harder than Sonic 2's Egg Driller, anyway. But once you learn the pattern, it's basically a free fight.

He can probably get behind getting squashed, that's happened to Sonic and his other friends multiple times, but breaking his headphones? I don't know, but he probably WOULDN'T be happy with that part.
