Hamlin finally syncs up with reality, learning that playing the hero isn't as easy as he thought it would be. Seems he's at least willing to still try and protect Cream instead of just running away to save himself. It's a start, right?
We also officially have the full introductions of Surge the Tenrec and Kitsunami the Fennec in our comic as well! Surge seems to have a few anger issues to work through but at least she has her friend to keep her reeled in. Though what is this test mission they're talking about?

Great page as always GB. I see Surge more like a evil version of Manic the Hedgehog from Sonic Underground rather than a evil Sonic. Since, the two have rough beginnings, a tough as nail attitude, but the spark that they can be something so much more than being a Sonic recolor. I wonder if Ian Flynn wanted to insert Manic into the IDW comic, but was force to create Surge due to copyright.
