Rockman DASH, X, and EXE have always been my favorites out of the four designs given. I like Dash the most because of the original setting in the game. Lovely work as always! :3

In my opinion, they should've honestly stopped at X4, I would've been perfectly fine for that.

Besides, I seriously think they're running out of ideas for the mavericks. Scrapping the bottom of the barrel doesn't begin to describe it.

I, unlike many of my friends, actually enjoyed Battle Network. It was something different that I'm glad I saw them take in another direction.

Though I'm afraid they'll even start taking that too far.

I didn't mind the .EXE games, but the one thing that really, REALLY ticks me off: No matter how many times you've become a top virus buster and saved the world, you still have to go through the tutorial with no way of skipping it!

And what's up with that Battlechip Challenge thing? It was like, the least amount of game you could have in a game... (You set up a board ahead of time, and then you watch the two combatants fight. The only interaction you have DURING the fight is the ability to "slot in" the two chips you add ahead of time, and it can fail to take effect.)

And for X6, did everyone in the future just discover free, unlimited crack or something? What's this crap about "Nightmare Souls" and such?

However, in spite of my complaints, I am still way too much of a fanboy for my own good... ^_^;; I could probably go on for hours about stuff like how X is actually a different robot than Megaman, or how he was originally named "Rock" to emphasize the "Rock Paper Scissors" style of boss weaknesses...

And, in essense, X and Megaman are essentially the same... X is just, a completely rebuilt, reformed and upgraded form of Megaman.

But the one thing that gets me about the new MegaMan games is that they're gonna run out of applicable animals to use.

Slaughter Sloth!! Lightning Bear!! Water Locust? Strike... Amoeba? Amazing... Powerful... Dustmite?

It's the X series that uses the animals, though. (And later, the Megaman Zero series.) The original just used random words like "Heat" and "Crash" and "Dust"...

Really, though. There was a DUNG BEETLE boss. I think they've already scraped the bottom of that barrel...

That's also a thing, but Rockman was originally because of Rock Paper Scissors. It's been a while, but I remember seeing a video that had an interview with the creator. They came up with Rockman, and then did Roll for the pun, and then continued the pun.

Inafune wanted it stopped at X5 so he could start work on the Zero games. Capcom didn't get the memo and dropped the ball, resulting in X6.

Rock Volnutt was the best one though. Legends/Dash was a great series.

I loved the first Megaman X, for the Super Nintendo, and now the PSP... that was, in my mind, the only good Megaman game.

The controls for Legends were always clunky; I'm sure they could rework it into something awesome without there having to be side-scrolling or isometric for everything.

I say Megaman X was the best of the series. Was a bit more darker and mature and sucks that it was the only one without an anime series. I suppose they needed to appeal to the kiddies again and went to EXE and now is the general cliche anime that it is that is just as bad as pokemon with the same thing over and over and rather kiddie.

Megaman X as an anime series would of done real well I would feel but then again feel it would of been screwed up anyway.

I don't even like the games, I just think he's sexy as hell, all of them, especially EXE
