Hey guys, it’s Spruce again, here to tell you about my great great grandpa Felix here and… the damage The Great Mistake has caused to him and countless others.
He was once human, as was the rest of my great grandma Maria’s family. Though as you can see The Great Mistake turned him into a lifeless plush deer for the rest of time, we checked and he is no longer conscious, he is dead.
I can hardly imagine the horror Maria went through witnessing her sister and father become lifeless toys. Her brother survived as an anthro plush deer while she turned into an organic anthro wolf. Her sister was strongly against anthro rights, and it took some time for Felix to accept her choice to marry an anthro deer, but when he did… it was his last day breathing.
Sorry if this is confusing a lot of you who don’t understand what The Great Mistake is, this id just something I felt worth explaining…

Sooooo yeah, LOOOOORE art! You can find more about The Great Mistake in my journal post explaining Garein, but essentially humans tried to wipe out anthros by turning them all into toys, their plans were rushed and instead of turning anthros to lifeless toys, they became living ones, or just completely unaffected. Meanwhile no human was spared from transforming into anthros or simple lifeless toys.
It’s been established lore since I made Garein a thing, as well as Spruce having human heritage. So I felt this would be a good thing to draw at some point.
