We are barely 1 month into 2024 and things have been... chaos.

Aside from the cold front that hit just about everyone, I've been dealing with sickness in my family, my pet, and of course as per normal in myself. On the good side, so far everyone has come out of it fine. COVID finally made it's way to my direct family line, but surprise it hit my elderly mother who just happens to be the healthiest family member (we are all a mess). She is already recovered with very little long lasting effects thankfully. I of course have managed to avoid it, but instead have been getting nailed with every dang form of cold or flu possible. I'm finally back on an upswing in my health, again. My elderly doggo though has not been doing so well. This past week he has taken most of my focus as his own health took a sudden drastic dive for a bit. He is already pushing about 3 years past when the vets thought he would go and not long ago had a sudden flare up that left me about 98% sure he was finally going to go. Little fluff ball had to be stubborn though and is suddenly jumped back in health again. Not going to say he is 100% better but he is at least out of danger for the moment.

Needless to say... 2024 has been... a LOT for me already. I want to say things look to be calming down now, but honestly things just keep hitting me out of left field so often that I just don't know anymore. On those waiting for me for art, I am so very grateful for the patience. I've still been working away bit by bit when able and I am hoping to finally have some level of progress done soon, should the gods be kind enough to not throw more at me for a couple days at least.

Here's to hoping that this is just 2024 trying to get all the crud over with quick so I can have a more calm rest of the year.
