Random poetry, I decided to make it furry.
Playing with imagery and story telling in this poem. Trying to paint as complete a tale as possible in the fewest possible lines.
They sky didn’t melt when she shot it.
It came down in small jagged pieces and he caught it
in the corners of his eye.
Long ears splayed down,
stringy tail tucked,
he lowered his head as if he had to cry.
The world is easy to carry upon broad shoulders
when you bare the load every day.
But two broken hearts is a much heavier burden
then a few bales of hay.
