In mercy, Narielle frees the hapless wizard from the curse and gives the Crystal to Giltias so that the dragon can bring back to life the warrior who once called out to Nariel for help. She also hands over the black Arrow of Fate, which should help in the battle against Blizzard. Fulfilling Nariel's commission, Giltias goes to the Hall of Passage and finds the ice statue of Botar-el. Having learnt that the dragoness Blizzard has not been defeated and is threatening Xentaron, the elf wants to take part in the battle with her, but sensing trouble, Giltias tries to talk him out of it.
