BECOME MY ENCOURAGER!
Hey, do you remember me sharing the sketch of this thing four years ago?.. It's hilarious, but really, it's been four years since I've started the sketch of this scene from my AU story about pre-Christmas adventures of my boys Zven and Stas. And just during January 2024 I managed to bring it to a more or less satisfactory state, to try to color it finally.

During these four years I always found something that I didn't like in the guys' proportions or in the composition as a whole. I tried to edit the sketch many times, but I never reached the result that would please me, so I always dropped it for better times. Eventually I came to fixing whatever I didn't like digitally rather than erasing and redrawing it on paper, because I still hoped to have the result thing done on the same sheet of paper in the end, which would've got torn sooner or later if I haven't decided to move the work on mistakes into digital.
The plan was to come to an optimal version of the drawing and then to edit the paper original according to it. But the sketch went through too many changes eventually, and the copy needed to be done from scratch on a new sheet. I realised that I didn't possess the nerves for this, so I decided to edit the current hybrid sketch a tiny bit more to make the digital edits minimally distinguishable from the traditional parts, and then I hoped that colored digitally it would look as good as it could have turned out in traditional.

I'd say, I am pleased with the result. Should have spent a bit more time on shading some details, I think, but I'll be honest, I'm just tired of this drawing and I want to leave it behind already. Actually, during this year I'd like to finish all the old stuff I have, so that irrelevant designs, plots and else no longer pop up in the midst of my current developments.

The story that this scene relates to was first written in December 2014 and edited several times since then, the last update made in 2019 or so. Unfortunately, I never edited the version in English since 2015, that's honestly too far from the current version of the story. So I can't share it here now. But I'd like to believe that someday I'll find enough energy to give this project a new translation!
