These rusty old wheels ain't going nowhere any time soon. I've been passing by them on my way to work every day for years, and they've never moved.
I've been thinking of revisiting my "You Ain't Going Nowhere" series. You've been warned...
A stationary Crossfolf Camera Presentation.

It's actually a pretty amazing thing, taking what looks like a hunk-a-rust/junk, then restoring it into working order.
As a little child, I still remember accompanying Papa on his never-ending-quest to find used equipment to add to his small 'Heavy Equipment' business. As I grew older and started to understand/learn what was going on, I was employed with a giant tub full of 'X' and varied metal-bristled brushes/S.O.S. pads/Chunks of sandpaper and usually an old brick, removing as much of the rust from whatever, then handing it over to be finished, restored/repainted. The aromas of solvent/oils still resides inside my nostrils! lol
Anyway, he'd take these Old Dinosaur machines, literally disassemble them entirely, and rebuild them. While still 'Old' they were then usable/reliable, and he's put them to good work earning their keep!
I still drive by old equipment (Usually vehicles), left parked on people's property as some sort of testament to time (?), rusting away and returning to 'Earth'. It both makes me smile (At the memories) and shake my head at the loss.
Thank you for sharing this lovely piccie, and all the traipsing down 'Memory Lane' it brought!

Wow, that's a great story, thanks! I'm glad you like this one, and I'm happy to know that it inspired a few fun memories!
It was much the same here, really; my Dad is a blacksmith and a car enthusiast, and it's nothing unusual for him to suddenly spot something near the road while we're driving along and say: "Hey: I can use that" Truthfully, he's almost caused an accident or two doing that *laughs*
I've helped Dad drag home everything from discarded appliances and junk metal to a complete car. Great fun!

Sure they go like in the movie tremors.

I love this kind of stuff! I had a collection on Flickr (before they started deleting photos if you had more than 1,000) of photos I'd taken of wheels, tires and hubs.
A contact on DeviantART has an eye for the stuff, too...

Yup. I stopped posting there about 5 years ago. They came out with this new 'policy' that if you weren't a 'pro' member, any new photos you post would cause the oldest ones to be deleted. I can't see paying them $73 a year for the WORST site service on the Interwebz.
Have you ever been hassled about posting non-furry-related material on Fur Affinity? I've had a couple of in-duh-viduals take me to task for it. Likewise dudes posting photos of train locomotives and gravestones. Some self-important clods tried to enforce nonexistent rules; I always tell them that if they don't have a red border on their comments (staff), I don't have to listen to them.

That's an interesting question. I haven't personally been hassled about that, but I know of people who have. In fact, I suspect that I know the gravestones and trains people you mentioned; they've experienced it.
If that happens to me, I'll have the same response. Don't look at it if you don't want to, but don't try to tell me what I can put up on my own page.
