“Oh-Ree-Elle”
Oriel’s birth was not an intentional occurrence but he was a welcome one. He was born from the old god’s indecisiveness and inability to make choices.
Oriel will only ever help one person at a time until they choose their preferred path. They are neither good nor evil.
He watches worlds like looking at fish in a fish tank. He will occasionally descend to land to assist someone that catches his attention. This subject is usually facing a major crossroads for a huge decision.
The god of fate and destiny will give the chosen subject a choice, continue as is unaided or accept his help. If they do not accept his help, he will vanish and all memory of seeing him will be erased.
Should the subject accept his help, Oriel will offer, on average, 12 cards to the subject. This can be more or less but on average, 12. 12 possible paths to 12 futures. They are able to experience each possibility for a few hours before returning back to reality.
Once they pick, they are locked into that future for better or worse. They will also know for certain how their chosen future ends. Also once their card is chosen, all the others become engulfed in flames and vanish.
Once they accept their fate and future from him, they are forever bound to that fate. Any attempt to change their chosen fate can have unexpected dire consequences for him and possibly others, up to and including the world they live on.
