
Quick sketchi after finishing Okamiden. Later for scraps
So I finally found the time to finish Okamiden for DS.
I was really skeptic at the beginning about story and gameplay but it still turned out better than expected. Thanks to the 3DS slidepad at least I got kinda better controls lol.
Don't wanna tell anything about the story but its was good stuff so far, even they tried to get way to much "wannabe" conections to the first game. Its not like Okami left enough space for a crossing storylines anyway. So its kinda an unseen story behind the Okami Storyline.
The difficulties are kinda higher, but just because of the controls. If Okami was a sphere than Okamiden is a Cube lol...
The game still was really good and its been a long time I got tears in my eyes while playing a game because of a certain scene...
I just hate that it was published on such a weak handheld... 3DS would be at least strong enough to keep the controls and free room of the first okami.
Capcom said Okami was published at the wrong time. Way to late on a dying system (ps2) while everyone was looking forward to PS3 so I just don't get it why they made the same mistake and put it on a dying handheld when most people are waiting for 3DS. Even you can play the old game on 3DS most people just wanna have the new 3D games.
Anyway the ending was something I exactly wanted to see this way and now I just hope for a new game sometimes on a better system so I can feel the epic experience again just like in the first game...

The reason it was put on the DS vs. the 3DS is because the 3DS was announced two years into development of the game, and at that point they were already too far in development to change it over. However, while Ōkamiden is a DS title, Eshiro (Producer of the game) is considering expanding subsequent games to work with the Nintendo 3DS unit based on the game's reception. Similarly, Eshire does not rule out a high-definition version on a modern console or a version for the iPhone or similar touch-screen devices depending on the response to Ōkamiden.
