i live in Norway its a tradition to not like them (they are ofcouse fine, but its fun to have a rival type of thing)

I had to look up what bunad meant as I'm not from Norway.

So I gather it's a day when traditional dress and old customs are celebrated?

yeeeeeeeeee, i don't have one myself since I wasn't born in Norway, but the ones I've seen being used on the national day here (17th May) are so beautiful in person, dont look up the price for one unless you want a heart attack

I've taken a look at some example dresses on google and I think they look very pretty as well.It's funny that the price of dirndls in Germany range from cheap synthetic fabric ones to expensive well crafted ones.So in Norway all bunad costume is expensive as you say .

Apparently the bunad from the Hardanger region started to be considered the ideal national dress around 1905.It seems to be called the nasjonalen or national dress.I regularly watch a TV programme partially filmed in the Hardanger region- it's called Vinterveiens helter or as I know it Ice Road Rescue.It's about truck recovery mostly on the snowbound roads around Eidfjord and Odda.

the hardanger looks nice , but i like how the rogaland one looks tho
