A little ref thing I threw together for the lead character of a little story I'm working on at the moment. It's my first crack at an original setting after living off Wings of Fire fan content for so long--I'm having a lot of fun with it so far, but it's coming along expectedly slowly.

Cassera here hails from a species that I've coined the Starloft. They were essentially "uplifted" from mundane creatures to the lofty status of dragon after going through a course-changing event that ended up gracing them with wings and three types of magic. I'm pretty early into writing and doing worldbuilding for it, but as it stands, it's shaping up to be a tightly focused, character-driven story zoomed in on a little cluster of dragons that explores themes of finding purpose in a troubled world. The magic is both a curiosity to the Starloft and a tool for exploring the themes in how they come up with ways to help each other survive their dangerous world. I intentionally made the magics very open-ended in what they can accomplish to encourage niche uses and creativity that I can play with later down the line. I might post the first chapter at some point if I'm feeling like it.
