I'm so very sorry for your loss.
It is hard to be forced to let go of your companion, especially one that you had a really close bond with. I hope you can eventually find solace with his absence.

Thank you so much for your kind words. This has been a tough one to lose, since he chose us and not the other way around. But, this coming week we'll be going back to the shelter to see who picks us out this time.

I feel so sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is hard, many people see them as more than just friends and family. Just know that many people support you. Just know that he is in a better place now.

Thank you for your condolences. He was my constant companion when I was at home.........

I grew up on a farm and lost more than a few pets during that time, but they were farm animals so to speak. Not house pets. Big difference...except for one...and that's another story.
