of course repel didnt work, it only works on weak pokemon, and the better repel only works up to lvl 20, however max repel works supposidly on all pokemon up to 80, but its not confirmed that it works to lvl 100... yet... but i been told max repel works on all level pokemons and you wont git into a single fight with it active.

Fiz, I'm confused. If GSC uses a battery to save data, why does my copy of Gold still have data after the battery ran dry? All that happened was the clock wouldn't retain the time when it was switched off.
Incidentally, I found that leaving the cartridge in a GBA turned on over-night seemed to recharge it.

are you sure thats gsc and not rusae?
rusae has a lot more problems with the clock battery going dead then gsc's battery ever has. gsc's internal battery is likely to just shit out completely before fucking with the time.
it does happen though, but just because the battery has ran dry doesnt mean itll start erasing data or not writing new data. im not exactly sure why though so :(

Psychic was totally OP in the first game because even ghost was actually weak to it.
If you have the three starters and three legendary birds in red or blue in your party in the right order and you talk to Bill you can go to his secret island.
If you level Mewtwo up from 70 to 100 without using any rare candies and go back to the spot that you caught him and use a Moon Stone he evolves into Mew.
My brother called in to Nintendo they totally told him this stuff.
I actually fell for that Mewtwo to Mew one as a kid. I was crushed when it didn't work but considering 20 of those levels came from the Elite Four my Mewtwo was a fucking god. Since I used PP ups on every one of his moves he could destroy the entire Elite Four and Gary with Pay Day alone.

the joke is psychic was actually overpowered
the only thing it was actually weak to was bug. and theres like two shitty attacking bug moves in the game. it was supposed to be weak to ghost but it actually took no damage from ghost attacks apparently. of course the only actual damage doing ghost move was lick lol

Oh yeah, I do actually agree with that, but I just laugh at people who thought ghost was also weak to it, conveniently never noticing that the Gastly line was poison. And then still not noticing it to this day and saying that psychic types are OP.

i totally swept sabrina's team with a twineedling beedrill the last time i played through red version
speaking of which, bug attacks were actually supereffective against poison types back then, so i was also able to sweep the hell out of koga with that beedrill
come to think of it, i pretty much swept everything except brock/blaine/bruno/lance with beedrill

I was doing a random wifi triple battle the other day and ran into someone with a sturdy level 1 aron, yadda yadda...I knocked it out by having two pokemon attack it since, uh, triple battle. And I got him down to just his tyrannitar VS 3 of my pokemon. It used protect once and then DISCONNECT
