Hello everyone and welcome to something I’m calling Build a (Poké)Monster Girl. This is a small event I’ve come up with in order to celebrate me recently passing 200 watchers. I’m not exactly sure how well this will actually work out, but whatever happens I have hope that the end result will be fun.

So, what’s this all about then? Basically, I want the subject of my next monster girl drawing to be decided by all of you, my watchers. Starting today and then continuing over the next few weeks, I’m going to open a series of polls for you to vote in and the winning choices from those polls will be put together to form a completed monster girl drawing.

If that’s confusing let me explain a bit more. This week, the poll is all about what character you’d like to see as the main subject of the drawing. To that end, I’ve come up with a list of over 100 female characters from across the Pokémon series and I want you to submit your top three choices for who you’d most like to see as a monster girl.

There are a lot of female Pokémon characters so I did my best to include those that I consider to be the most important or the most popular, as well as few obscure characters just for fun. I tried to include everyone I could think of, but I’m sure that I missed some so if your favorite isn’t there, I’m sorry. There are a few I didn’t include on purpose, however, simply because I don’t think they would make for a very good subject for this kind of thing.

I will leave the poll up for a week and then once the time is up, I’ll remove it and tally up the results. Then, I’ll release another poll and leave it up for a week too. Once the character has been decided, the next decision will be to choose what type of monster girl you’d like to see them as. That poll will be significantly shorter than this week’s and will include choices like mermaid, lamia, harpy, centaur, etc. Once that has been decided upon, the last week will be what Pokémon species the winning character’s monster girl form should be inspired by. So, for example, if mermaid wins, the last poll will include a list of fish and other similarly styled aquatic themed Pokémon and you will choose which one you’d like to see as the inspiration for the character’s mermaid body.

Then, once all of the polls are concluded, I’ll go and complete the drawing. I’m really interesting to see what wins. If I’m honest, I’m hoping for something kind of out of the ordinary but whatever it is, I’ll be sure to do my best to create a great drawing.

I decided to create the poll on Googe Forms simply because it was easiest. Right now, the poll is open to anyone, even if you don’t have a Google account, because I want to make sure everyone is able to participate. However, a downside of that is that I’m unable to make it so people can’t vote more than once. So, I’m asking you all to be on the honor system and please only vote once. If I suspect people are trying to rig the vote by voting multiple times I’ll have to make it so you have to have an account to participate, and I’d really not have to do that.

In conclusion, I’m really interested to see who you all vote for. Thank you so much for choosing to follow me and I hope to bring you many more great monster girl drawings in the future. And who knows, maybe if this goes well I’ll do it again with other series and characters sometime down the road.
