Descended from an ancient branch of the Knuckles Clan that split off, Oriol is part of a long line of matadors in the north of Soumerca. Living alongside the humans, the race of echidnas adopted many of their cultures, including bullfighting shows.

Sapient bullfighters like Oriol will play with other sapient bulls for the kids, then go for the big, feral ones for adults. Oriol prides himself on incorporating dance into the moves, spinning with his maneuvers and leaping high. He also prides himself in his tattoo of his family crest, so he never wears shoes.

Despite his age, this golden male is a bit naïve, as he gets a lot of attention to his feet but mistakenly believes people just like the tattoo. He eventually meets Knuckles thanks to Vide, and hits it off as a member of the polycule.
