"Hmph, the "Amazing Crystal Narrators", gigantic gemstones fused with souls and brought to life by extremely powerful wizards. These "Crystal Narrators" love nothing more than to document every tiny little thing around them that's within their psychic reach. They'll go into detail about how someone is chewing their gum from several miles away, or how someone is jogging in a specific way just outside. These creatures know nothing of privacy and will write anything, and everything down without a second thought. Don't even get me started on when they start writing down their own "opinions" on things as every single crystal has their own personality. These crystals are at the very least helpful, but looking at their scribbled down notes can sometimes be incomprehensible!
One moment you'll get them writing out a very detailed combat log, and then in the next paragraph... They get completely sidetracked by a cat scratching someone's couch in another village. Don't ever ask them anything directly either or they'll start to get snappy with you! Saying that they already wrote it down and their many eyes will motion over to several different books of varying order without any dates and a vague sense of time. When talking to a few Wizards they told me that it's the point for them to be confusing so only they can decipher it. Pah! I doubt it, but it is pretty funny when I watch a group of 10-24 wizards try and decipher a single paragraph and have to reference countless books at a time only to realize the crystal was exaggerating.
I'm not going to doubt its usefulness, but I will say that these creatures drive my patience. I'd even blame the wizards for being lazy as they barely even use their crystal orbs anymore to scry! There are also some wizards who shout out that technology cannot ever beat their own creations... Which I believe this thing is kind of like a golem or automaton, but I guess I'm not allowed to tell them that without them shouting how wrong I am. It doesn't help that many of these crystals are ancient and have been passed down for thousands of years. I kinda wonder if these wizards even know how to make more of them or how to refine the process of information. Even now this creature's smug presence mocks me. As it gives me a small autobiography that's flagrantly wrong written 3 times over on the same page!" ~Captain PiK

Hee-Ho, howdy everyone! Today I bring you more data logs and this time we have a location and "character" so to speak! Once again, I think Captain PiK kind of explained it best sooooo... Yeah-- Although I will give you the fun fact that there's been over 3-4 attempts to bring this concept to life or at least "illustrate" it so to speak in the setting. I just could never get the background right and I ended up usually scrapping it. Although, I think I'm satisfied this time around, until next time everyone! Thank you for reading!
Disclaimer and Copyright: These characters involved, and the artwork belongs to me, TwistedHensley. The Skin to Scales Universe also belongs to me there, TwistedHensley... You get the drill. I want to point out that this is an Epic Dark Fantasy setting with a lot of mythological and religious tones and that there is no real-life connection to any of these events, religions, characters and it is fully, grounded, in fantasy. There is no copyright infringement also intended to other forms of media as Skin to Scales is meant to be its own thing and something I've been working on for a very long time. This is the same setting where faith is a massive part of the magic system, and it is usually meant to have a very bright and colorful art style to help balance the tone.
