So fun fact that drawing I did late December was a sort of companion piece I made while I was waiting for the chance to 3d print this guy. I was so antsy and excited about it. My partner made it happen by figuring out the technical stuff, and we couldn't have done it without their dad's printer, bless em.
He's a heroforge design (if you've used heroforge you may well recognize the assets) scaled up by 275%, the same design I had used as a reference for the drawing. Filament-based 3d prints really work best when you scale them up, plus I have shaky hands and no experience painting minis, I wanted to give myself a fighting chance.
He printed on New Years, I spent early January priming him, accidentally breaking him, putting him together, painting him, then kinda ruining the paintjob so I spent the rest of the month going back over more slowly. Varnished just a few days ago, just took me til now to take even passably decent pictures.
Might move to scraps. Just wanted to post about my toy-painting journey cuz it was fun and I love looking at him.
