Intellectually, the other Gallantmon know that this is just a human.
A very cute human who deserves to be treated as the honored guest h is, but still just a human who drew a Digimon that came to life and this eventually lead to the creation of all other Guilmon and themselves.
He's not a god, he's not a divine being, he is not anything uniquely special among billions of other humans.
All the Megas are aware of this, even if the less evolved among the Pixel Pox Park population treated Takato like a sacred celebrity.
And yet, the facts of the situation did not effect their emotions as they felt their hearts rise with giddy delight every time that they saw, heardor smelled him.
Bottom line, Dukemon X is grumpy because he doesn't get to hold Takato.

This just reminds me of how weird it is that Gallantmon is one of the royal knights when, in the Tamers universe he was created by Takato. Like... is Guilmon destined to go on one day to join his server's Royal Knights? Did destiny require Gallantmon to be born into that world and the only way was projecting the idea through the minds of a child?

Yes, exactly!!!
The best theory I heard was that Gallantmon existed first.
There was the Holy Knights, with Gallantmon among their number. He didn’t evolve from a Digimon line, he was just made for the purpose of filling out the round table.
When Guilmon and Takato biomerged, they sort of snapped into the Gallantmon form because that was the easiest way to accomplish what they were doing. The Digital World heard their request for a powerful humanoid-type Mega level who also had the Digital Hazard symbol, and the Digital World said "Uhhhhhh... this is the closest thing I got for you two."
The theory goes on to say that this tied Gallantmon to the Guilmon line, and not do they evolve into him, he devolves into a Guilmon after taking enough damage, rather than just dying like he would have before.
In the story, Gallantmon was quite pleased about this and felt a kinship with Takato and Guilmon, reasoning that this would absolutely save his life eventually.
