I have been going through a lot lately, both mental and physical health. I know my art is not up to my normal for the last while, as art is very hard for me on a good day none the less everything going on of late. Just wanted to say thank you for the patience and support, and for those being hypercritical, believe me I will be the first to say I am a terrible artist but I am trying my best!

"Terrible artist", you. I roll my eyes. Silly people. :)
You've got a really remarkable eye for pose and anatomy and character, and you tell a great story too. With this picture being an excellent case. So much poignancy in the story of what Itzali is, or at least the hazy fables of what they might have been, had a far stranger and colder fate not lain in wait...

*puts out stunningly beautiful art constantly*
"I'm a terrible artist."
I know this isn't the place to find this advice, but consider: do your feelings match the facts? Now, you can't "factually" determine if art is good or not, but you don't have to! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Or in your case, the many beholders who love your work. You might think you're a bad artist, but you have thousands of dissenting voices here.
Your feelings are valid, and they aren't stupid. PM me if you need me 💜

I am very sorry to read that you are feeling bad, both mentally and physically. I do hope that you'll feel better soon, and that as a community we can help you to feel better mentally. Your health is the most important for yourself, and it is normal you take more time for art so you can heal yourself. If you have no one to talk to, I can also provide so ears to your problems if I may help in any way.
For your art, I think I do understand what you think. I am no artist, but I work in research and teaching, and I keep thinking I am very bad in both, even a fraud, regardless of what I achieve or what others tell me. My brain keeps lying to me, and probably does yours. I do enjoy your art a lot, I appreciate your style, your details, your pose, ideas… and I would totally commission you whenever you are free and feeling better.
Please take all the time you need, and take care of yourself.

Oh sweetie, never in the world I've thought or did see you as a terrible artist. All your illustrations, since your beginning personally i felt always inspired from your characters and your creativity. The facial expressions, the sublime anatomy and how you draw these creatures full of emotions, when you post something new I instantly think "Lizet is magic, they're phenomenal and so passionate, even when in a low mood they keep up making gold-tier art" ❤️
Don't be so hard with yourself Liz, none of your friends, fans and new followers will ever call you "terrible artist" cuz you are so wonderful! Take big care of you and have a relaxing week, I wish you a fast recovery hun 🤗🧡

As someone who struggled mentally for a very long time, I can assure that those thoughts of yourself aren't true. When struggling with these thoughts and feelings, our minds can be very mean to ourselves. Convince us that we're way worse than we actually are. Although you do feel this way, just know that it's temporary. Your feelings can change in time~
You may not think it or feel it right now, but you really are a talented artist. One of my personal favorites, in fact! This piece in particular evokes emotions that are powerful, thought provoking.

Well i am fairly new here so this is probably not the best help. But for what it is worth your art is beautiful, no matter what. And just checking the comments underlines this words.
Through however the only thing currently important is you and your health. First take care of yourself, then everything else, this is all that matters, because no one can give this parts back once they are lost. So when you need your time, you have the right to do so, for how ever long this will need.

It's not easy to do, but the number one thing to do is to avoid negative statements, both true negatives like what you typed, and even double-negatives.
Brains are squishy and warm and like to cling to things they encounter frequently and make those things 'Just True'. Each time anybody else says mean things, your brain will evaluate, and if it's common and frequent, it'll become true unless you're inoculated against it mentally. When you say it, it carries more weight, and even something that is false will become true to your brain, and will change your actions to make sure they match what the brain thinks is true.
Even "Not Negative" statements lose their 'Not' in the squishy warm hug of brain workings, and just the negative is left, so those should be avoided too - something the news doesn't (or does) understand.
You are an amazing artist. You have grown steadily over the time I've watched you and you still have some areas where you can do even better, so you've room to become even more amazing. The expressions, the compositions, the attention to details, the anatomical forms and dynamic interactions you create are amongst the best I have seen. When you drew a roo about to launch a rabbit overseas, the motion was immediately obvious. The muscle tension, ready for go. The gleeful look on the bunner's face. All worked amazingly well.
Other people can be mean to you, but they are not friends. You don't pick a friend. A person is a friend by being friendly and being a friend. A person who is hypercritical is not being a friend. Let the mean people be mean, and dooooon't join them! Be nice to yourself. Self pep talks and congratulations can seem silly, but DO THEM! Just remember to leave room to grow. Find the places to expand your skill that bring you joy.
Your art is astounding and always a bright moment for myself, and dare I say a lot of other people. Tell yourself this. Affirm your own amazing worth and try to keep things positive. It's not easy, but each little bit you can helps.

No one makes art like you do lizet, please don't call yourself terrible, it couldn't be further from the truth. Me, plus hundreds of people, probably thousands, wait patiently for anything you draw because there's nothing else quite like it! Your artworks are excellent 👌
Going by the 27 odd people here ready to kick you door down to give you a cuddle and praise, I think it safe to say everyone here thinks your art is amazing.
One of the things I love the most about your work is the emotions you manage to capture in your scenes, like your work here with Itzali.
Her art and little bits of lore have been fantastic to follow and I love the narrative you showcase with them. ❤️
Hope life settles down for you soon, get well soon and be safe!

I'm silently watching you for a long time now. But now I think I have to say that I personally don't think your art is terrible. I nearly always feel something special about every piece of your work.
I really love the style and design of your work and I have to admit that when I was going through a bad time your art helped me a lot getting my mind clear. I'm very thankful for that. So take all the time you need for your health and get better soon.
