''Sunset Sauropod'' -- drawn by Lay
A pretty cool continuation of the ''dinosaur jungle'' theme I went for last month. I wanted to create something that would really catch the eye, and I think I succeeded in doing so. I got inspired when I looked through a picture book featuring several artworks of paintbrush-style depictions of people on the hunt for deer and foxes, sometimes with hunting dogs involved. It looked so real! Hats off for the person who made these illustrations, I'm really impressed! The pictures featured in the book often depict foxes running through farmlands or hunting dogs with their owners walking through tall grass, and that kinda stuff. So I tried to mimmick that vibe while creating a more... ''tribal''...? ''ancient''? picture, using vibrant oranges, browns and greens -- several shades of green too -- in order to make this piece. I basically let loose my inner dinosaur-loving self and went with it. I might've also just subcontiously put in some ''Land Before Time'' elements as well, considering the animal depicted here looks impressively close to what LBT's main character, Littlefoot, looks like.
Although one thing that's pretty hilarious to me, is the fact that some of my colleagues at the workplace where I made the picture, couldn't tell which side of the dinosaur was the creature's head and which side was the tail. That really cracked me up.
