Holy cow, an extremely dark looking piece of artwork from me for once. You know, usually I don't really post a lot of my "darker" pieces, and impressively... There's a huge chunk of them that portray many of the more sinister aspects of the setting. As I said always in my description, Skin to Scales is a dark fantasy setting with a very bright and colorful look to it to counter the tone. This is why Faceless of course are so... Jarring when standing beside many of the main characters, and this monster is no exception.
This is one of the False Stars, even if now long dead in the setting, we have an illustration of Thomza and Kelly going toe to toe with it. A long winding red serpent made of many arms as its constant gluttony fell in on itself. For those who don't know the False Stars are humans cursed with godhood and sealed away on Materia as it was their punishment for invading machine heaven. They're... Pretty major in the setting, and here's a post of course detailing out their servants: https://www.deviantart.com/twistedh.....tars-978996396 (posting the DA link since I can't seem to find it on my FA)
*but* it's been forever since I illustrated one. So... Here it is! Giant scary monster, Thomza and Kelly's colors shining through the darkness- that sort of stuff
Until next time folks! Thanks for reading!
Disclaimer and Copyright: These characters involved, and the artwork belongs to me, TwistedHensley. The Skin to Scales Universe also belongs to me there, TwistedHensley... You get the drill. I want to point out that this is an Epic Dark Fantasy setting with a lot of mythological and religious tones and that there is no real-life connection to any of these events, religions, characters and it is fully, grounded, in fantasy. There is no copyright infringement also intended to other forms of media as Skin to Scales is meant to be its own thing and something I've been working on for a very long time. This is the same setting where faith is a massive part of the magic system, and it is usually meant to have a very bright and colorful art style to help balance the tone.
Other Disclaimer: You are allowed to share my artwork as long as I am credited, but do not upload it anywhere else, edit it and or mark it as your own if that wasn't common sense.
Fun Fact: No, this was not inspired by any "Creepypasta" content, trust me I would tell you lmfao. (Mostly as I grew up with "Pokemon" creepypastas as a kid, but my one friend knows I love Godzilla and the creepypasta "RED", but... No relation there.) Or another one being "Giygas", but also- not really no.
Fun Fact 2: This originally was designed off a centipede, but it's closer to that of a humanoid with a serpent body
Fun Fact 3: Really wanted to get across the divine nature of the piece with it being all encompassing... Originally there was an outline for Thomza and Kelly but I decided to delete it
Fun Fact 4: This illustration shows off Kelly before she became a "Sweetbold"
