"...It is a travesty to think of what happened to the Scaled Ones. Be warned as I will not hold back on whomever reads this log as most of the Scaled Ones at this point are extinct. When the False Stars rose to power, they decimated a large portion of the Realm of Materia while the Pillars of Creation slept. The Scaled Ones and the Dragons attempted to fight back against them for almost a hundred years, but inevitably they would fail. In this destruction many Scaled Ones were transformed into "Scalebolds", a new species that would be servants of the Stars. Stripped of their original strength and carved out to be vessels of faith for the Stars to secure their influence within the realm. They'd lose their ears, most of their history and achievements would be burned, they'd become shorter (2-3 ft) with more vibrant colors and would be given more mammalian properties. Not only this, but they would lose much of their original strength and intelligence, as most would devolve into fanatics.
Most of them are now empty vessels waiting for gods to step in and lead them. Tia sees this as a wonderful boon after I destroyed many of the Stars as she had her army, but... I can't help but feel a deep sense of dread, some sort of... Shame. Many of the Dragons were wiped out, the Scaled Ones are mostly no more, and I knew naught of it as I rested. When I awoke there was nothing but fire and fury, and most of the war I wrought feels like a blur to me. I feel it's unlike of me to raise a blade and use it so violently and viciously, but these little creatures need me now, more than ever I suppose. I just fear when Captain PiK called my army a bunch of wandering barbarians, perhaps there was... Some truth in his word as the Scalebolds flocked to me when they perceived a stronger being than the ones they once worshipped." ~Thomza Materia

Wanted to make this one feel a bit different, more like Thomza was venting and lamenting on the past and during his battles against the Stars. If you want to learn more about this topic and the Scalebolds, you can check that out right here: https://www.deviantart.com/twistedh.....tars-978996396 (Can't find the FA link, but I do have my DA link)
and if you want to see about the stars, physically themselves and what they look like, you can check that out here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/55441605/
Until next time folks, thanks for reading.
Disclaimer and Copyright: These characters involved, and the artwork belongs to me, TwistedHensley. The Skin to Scales Universe also belongs to me there, TwistedHensley... You get the drill. I want to point out that this is an Epic Dark Fantasy setting with a lot of mythological and religious tones and that there is no real-life connection to any of these events, religions, characters and it is fully, grounded, in fantasy. There is no copyright infringement also intended to other forms of media as Skin to Scales is meant to be its own thing and something I've been working on for a very long time. This is the same setting where faith is a massive part of the magic system, and it is usually meant to have a very bright and colorful art style to help balance the tone.
