Despite spending a lot of their time in Lylat as of late, Mewtwo still kept track of the passage of time on the planet they were born. It just so happened to be the 24-hour period that was considered their birthday.
Shortly before the day's arrival, Mewtwo put in an order at a nice local bakery back on what Pokémon called Earth. A Legendary client was going to be a bit of a surprise no matter what, but they kept the true extent of their powers hidden so as not to scare the kind bakers. They were in the mood for a mint chocolate cake this year. The cake already looked excellent when they arrived to pick it up. The icing job was simple but cute, and thankfully this time did not look so much like toothpaste that it gave people the wrong idea.
As always, Mewtwo gave the bakers a generous tip for their work. It was always tough to find the right balance of having the tip be large enough that it would make the workers happy, but not so large that the workers were inclined to ask awkward questions that might poke into the full extent of their powers. But this time, Mewtwo thought they did a good job.
And with that, it was time to retreat into their personal pocket dimension to enjoy their birthday cake. They took a relaxing telekinetically-supported seat and curiously took their first bite... Not bad! This would definitely be a good bakery to visit again in the future.
I've been occasionally getting Sunday sketchmissions from
Cutedge95 lately. They do really nice work; if you enjoy Pokémon, wrestlefurs, and/or stage magicians, you should absolutely check them out! I also wanted to do something thematically appropriate for Mewtwo's birthday today (FEB. 6: MEW gave birth) but was having trouble thinking of what to do until just last week. Realization: a Billy sketchmission would make a nice lil celebration :D
Billy picked out a good pose! Relaxed, but with a nice bit of dynamics and personality to it. They also made an impressive suit from my prompt of "sci-fi space adventure suit" that pops out well with the rest of the color scheme. The telekinesis bubbles are a nice touch as well. I'm happy with how it turned out! :D
